Broad Oak Farm - Best Pork

We've seen a change in packaging for Broad Oak sausages once again...and these "best porks" caught our eye!  3rd generation family recipe sausages with 75% pork in natural hog casings should be good...

In a previous review we thought that Broad Oak Farm sausages being all packaged in that opaque, grease proof paper like material where you can't see the actual product though it was a shortcoming.  These Best Pork are in a "proper" pack. Come on it's only right that you need to see what you are buying...

Broad Oak Cumberland sausages did well in last years Sausage Week (2015) winning their category so how will these Best Porks do for us?

The look a very well made sausage and cooked up the skins were good providing a fair bite and chew through the smooth to medium textured meat.  The seasoning was good too but there was a tad salty after taste but sadly no lingering spice on the palette that we like.

In a sandwich though, not bad at all with some sauce...an OK sausage at the end of the day.

Would we buy again?  Probably not.
