Tesco Finest - Brazil Inspired Pork

With all the other Brazil themed foodie stuff that seems to be about with the World Cup on, a novelty purchase for these "limited edition" sausages is what I claim. Honest boss!

What also tempted me was the ingredients listing Feijoada (a beefy soup) upfront, with seasoned pork, black beans, chorizo and rich beef stock in the back four, with smoked paprika in the midfield. Well these have the sort of flavours I will probably like personally, so let's hope they live up to expectation.

The packaging claims "full of flavour" and "made with prime cuts of pork"! Hmm well I suppose just like the England team, looked fair on paper, but the delivery was a bit disappointing if the truth be known.

72% meat in natural skins, good texture and bite. The depth of flavour was OK, but we were expecting deep beefiness from the Feijoada (paste in this case) and the "bite" of chorizo didn't happen in our opinion. The ingredients worked OK together. Significant losses though, more than expected. It wasn't a home goal, just a bit lacking in performance!

They did taste OK so don't feel we've been overly hard on these but not sure we would buy again even if there was an extended purchase window. One of team when asked responded that there was too much foreign stuff in the mix these days...what's wrong with good sage, onion or chives upfront? Perhaps next time eh?.
